ESSENTIAL OILS & BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
What are essential oils? What can I use them for? Why do I need them? I get a lot these kinds of questions. I came from the family of a much respected and highly trained pediatrician with over 30 years of experience, but Mom still believed in the power of Nature. In my family we respected both – natural and modern medicine, but whenever possible, natural medicines were always our first choice. I would like to share with you 3 things that helped me to understand more about essential oils and their uses.
1. WHAT OTHER PEOPLE EXPERIENCE:
Please watch this short video to see for yourself what essential oils are and how families like yours and mine have been using essential oils in so many wonderful ways (for better health, to elevate mood and reduce stress, for non-toxic house cleaning, as a natural remedy for all kinds of “ailments”, for body detox, for flavorful and healthy cooking and more).
2. WHAT MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS SAY
Have you ever visited a dentist? The office might smell of CLOVE, which has both anesthetic and antiseptic properties. The biggest difference? In the dentist office they probably use a synthetic form. Clove essential oil has been shown to have wonderful numbing properties that could help with tooth pain – which was one of my earliest experiences with essential oils. One of my teeth was damaged by a dentist when I was just a child. By my early 30’s it had deteriorated to the point where it needed a crown, but after the anesthesia wore-off the pain in my mouth was terrible. Fortunately, I had my oils, and after doing a bit or research, I used Clove essential oil on my gums around the tooth – it quickly helped to soothe the pain.

3. MY OWN EXPERIENCE – I was very skeptical at first.
Although I’m a huge advocate of using natural approaches to supporting health, I discovered the amazing properties of essential oils only 3 years ago. My husband brought home a small bottle with a dark blue liquid inside and said that he was going to use it to see if it would help his arthritic knees. I was very skeptical about essential oils. Little did I know!!!!!! Very soon I noticed that my hubs started to use fewer meds, which made me SO happy. However, I was sold on oils only after my own personal experiences. I had an awful rash / eczema on my face that I couldn’t get rid of for several months. Nothing I tried seemed to work. My sister-in-law offered to put a drop of Frankincense essential oil on the rash and I laughed at her, but then let her do it anyway. Then I forgot about it. A couple of weeks later when I saw my sis-in-law again she asked about the ugly rash, and that’s when I remembered – it was gone and never came back!
As I mentioned before, I believe in using both natural and traditional medicine, but natural medicine will always be my first choice. My background is probably a bit different from most – I didn’t grow-up relying on health insurance and an intricate medical system. When I moved to the U.S. and saw how many prescriptions, drugs and antibiotics an average person takes here, how many side effects are caused and how much money / time is spent by the average family … I was floored! There is a healthier and more cost effective way …
P.S. WHAT YOU ALSO NEED TO KNOW is that NOT all essential oils are the same! My husband taught research design at the university level, so when we decided to buy essential oils for our family he insisted on exploring the options. He bought several different brands of EO, many of which were touted as the “best” and “most pure”, and they certainly were quite expensive. He dug deep to learn more about their quality, properties, purity and mode of action (how they work). A result of this research was that we decided to rely solely on one of the best companies for our family. We have been using the oils for over 3 years now, and have seen amazing results! We won’t trade them for anything!
P.P.S. Since both Paul and I were happy with our careers (I operated my own successful floral business), we didn’t even look into the business opportunity offered by the company for over 2 years. We were just enjoying the oils for ourselves and in the family. One step at a time the idea of having a residual income grew on me. That combined with my passion for health and wellness, my love for helping other people, and the need to share these wonderful oils our family in Russia (remind me to tell you about my mom’s experience with asthma), led us to share the oils internationally. Being a successful self-starter, I decided to grow essential oils into a full-time business about a year ago. I LOVE IT!!!
